🎧 LAMBETH COUNTRY SHOW
Grooveschool Stage & Youth Performance Platform (2016–2024)
Overview
For nine consecutive years, Grooveschool has been a central creative partner of the Lambeth Country Show, one of London’s largest free festivals attracting 150,000–180,000 visitors annually. What began in 2016 as a small hands-on workshop marquee has evolved into a fully curated festival stage, showcasing emerging DJs, established artists, and SEND-inclusive talent.
Across 2016–2024, Grooveschool has delivered more than:
100+ DJ sets
1,200+ workshop interactions
15 streamed sets during Covid-19
36–40 stage sets since 2022
Estimated 5,000+ visitors engaged (marquee years alone)
The platform has become a trusted, community-centred presence and one of the festival’s most popular cultural offerings.
Purpose & Need
Young people — particularly those from Lambeth, those with SEND profiles, or those lacking performance opportunities — need safe, visible platforms to:
Develop stage presence
Build confidence
Experience real audiences
Celebrate identity and creativity
Meet role models in the industry
The Lambeth Country Show offers the perfect environment for progression, visibility, and community belonging, and for many young DJs, it is their first-ever public performance.
